The artistic research of Saori Kuno (Japan, °1983) is centred on the value and position of objects in everyday life, and how they are altered by the distribution mechanisms of the art market based on scarcity, as opposed to the homogeneous system of industrial mass production. In addition to that, she uses the medium of performance as a means of artistic inquiry. [Pieter Vermeulen]

Her works have been exhibited at Basis (Frankfurt), Marres (Maastricht), Wiels (Brussels), M HKA (Antwerp), Royal Academy of Fine Art (Antwerp), Herman Teirlinckhuis (Beersel) and Extra City (Antwerp).
